Ah, we miss the Goblin Teasmade... We know it’s wrong to have favourites, but this has got to be up there! This truly fantastical contraption combined a vintage charm with cutting-edge convenience and (as far as we’re concerned) is a true relic from the days of proper British ingenuity. For those who revel in the art of cosy living, the Goblin Teasmade is nothing short of a godsend.

This Goblin Teasmade in our collection was donated in its original box by a Miss Maplesden. To Miss Maplesden we say: Thank you!

The Teasmade peaked in popularity in the 1970s, although it also featured in the 1984 music video for 'I Want to Break Free' by Queen, when Brian May is woken by one. Since then, we can’t help feeling that life has been going steadily downhill. So, for anyone who longs for a lazy Sunday morning cuppa without having to get out of bed, let us tempt you to adopt this wonderful object…
