Henry Flintoff's Courage Medal
Product Details

In the heart of Farndale, on the fateful day of June 23th, 1944, a 13-year-old farmworker named Henry Harwood Flintoff sprang into action! It was Henry’s quick thinking that prevented local farmer John Atkinson from meeting a grisly fate at the horns of a bull. After the bull turned on John, Henry charged towards the creature and, together with the injured farmer, managed to catch hold of the ring in its nose.

The pair held firm until forced by exhaustion to let go. But it was enough to save John’s life. The bull was eventually captured by a farm boy with the aid of a pitch fork, and for his fearless rescue, young Henry was hailed as a local hero. Fortunately for us, he was also rewarded with this prestigious medal for his extraordinary bravery.

Perhaps there’s a hero in your life, big or small, in need of this special object for adoption.
